I Want Adventure In The Great Wide Somewhere
I want it more than I can tell!
Why hello there! I have spoken about my desire to go on adventures before on this blog, but hey why not speak on it again?
Within the past few weeks I have been making an effort to push myself to experience anything new. I've been meeting awesome new people and doing things out of my comfort zone. To me, saying "I want adventure in the great wide somewhere" is all inclusive. Meaning, I do not believe that there should be a limitation on what is considered an adventure. Yes I have been trying to get out and travel more, but honestly there's plenty to explore right in my own backyard or even within myself. I like to think a proper adventure is more of a mindset than an activity. But that's just me!
Okay so clearly I like the idea of adventures. And hopefully by now you know that I love Disney. So it's a no brainer that I love when Belle sings "I want adventure in the great wide somewhere" in Beauty and the Beast. There are a few Disney lyrics that I use frequently as mottos and this one is right up there! When I was at Con of Thrones and saw Jordandené's adorable booth of nerdy apparel including this t-shirt with one of my all time favorite Disney quotes I had a major take my money moment. I also got to speak with the owner and designer of the shop and she was a major sweetheart! I highly recommend checking out her shop! She has some adorable designs that are perfectly nerdy and inspiring. Plus I think it is so much fun trying to style t-shirts in new and different ways! Can you tell I was going for Belle-inspired Disney bound here?
Of course I must say thank you to my best friend and one of the most talented people I know, Keldon. These photos are from the same shoot we did in Downtown Raleigh on the fourth of July, which was a bit of an adventure in itself. Taking photos in the middle of a crowd can be intimidating, so I'm glad I had this guy behind the camera. Go check out his Instagram and his website for more of his work!
Hope everyone can accomplish so much more than they've got planned this week!
